WANTED: DOMESTIC VIOLENCE SURVIVAL & HEALING STORIES So many things "magically" piecing 2gether for the inaugural "Voices Love Music" concert.... AND NOW A BOOK!!! I am writing a book to tie-in launch of the "Voices Love Music" concert tour.... and am looking to compile stories from other women that have survived DOMESTIC VIOLENCE focusing specifically on stories of survival and what helped them heal. SEEKING AND ACCEPTING STORY SUBMISSIONS NOW!!! voiceslovemusic@gmail.com *********************************************************************** SPECIAL NOTES: 1. I would only want each woman to share what they are comfortable to share. For this, we are not looking for women to necessarily document "the whole story".... we are more looking to hear what each woman did/are doing to survive and heal.... to give other women hope that they too can do the same. 2. I don't want to put any limitations or expectations on each woman's story...so that each woman can just write freely as much or as little as they feel inclined in an effort to help other victims. So whether each woman writes a paragraph, a page, 10 pages or 100 pages is irrelevant at this point... I just want each woman to write what feels right in their heart ~n~ soul. 3. In my eyes, I want to give each woman the CHOICE as to whether or not they identify themselves.... and if so, how....or if not, not. Each woman's wish is my command. *********************************************************************** Ideally, we will secure a publisher before the concert so that it would be in print and available to purchase by 08-08-08 and technically launch as we begin the neverending, everchanging tour.... or it could be after the concert to keep the "VOICES" ball rollin.... I'll leave timing in God's hands. BUT, the book is being written and published. (PERIOD) We have connections into Oprah who could write the foreward and even endorse it and get this whole thing in front of the public prior or after the event itself. Like Oprah says everyone has a story ... abuse comes in all forms, and there are so many out there who have survived so so many obstacles and pain... and can speak individually yet collectively on how the abuse has impacted their lives and their futures. I also will be reaching out to my friends at "Chicken Soup for the Soul" the book series.... which could be ideal. Please REPOST and share with anyone you know that might want to tell their story of survival and healing in an effort to help other victims. Also, if you have connections into Publishers, Authors, Writers, Investors, Sponsors.... we certainly welcome as many open doors to pursue as possible to find the perfect match. A percentage of the books proceeds will again go to helping other DOMESTIC VIOLENCE victims. The BOOK Working Title is "One Voice."
